Isa 26:20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.
This is an allusion of the Passover experience in Exodus chapter 12. The four verbs; come, enter, close and hide strongly explains the depth and importance of quarantine. God is asking His people to go to a hiding place for a while until the ” indignation runs it’s course.”
Those who had leprosy, infectious skin diseases and abnormal discharges were quarantined. They were supposed to remain outside the camp until they were declared ” clean”.
During the night of the exodus , all Israelites were to remain in their houses . None was to be found out loitering carelessly at night. By being obedient, God secured their lives.
This is a call to the church to remain spiritually alert and avoid all none essential contacts. Let us remain in the chambers of His defense and provisions. In Christ, we will securely go through the current challenge.
