Mar 10:47-48 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Bartimaeus was sitting on the road side begging. This was because of his condition.But when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he took advantage of the situation. Hearing is important, but hearing the right thing is even more important. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (Rom; 10:17).
Though visually impaired, he capitalized on what he was gifted at ; his ears and mouth. Excuses are enemies of our progress. we are supposed to use what we have to achieve what we don’t have.
The blind man refused to be silenced by the crowd. He is the one who knew what he wanted .We have diverse dreams in this life. On the roadmap to our dreams, we are to avoid dream killers at all cost. The more the crowd tried to silence him, the more he shouted.
In the journey of faith, there will always be hindrances. Ignore the suggestions of failure or impossibility. Hold firmly to God’s promises in your life. Refuse to be silenced today and go for that which you are yearning for.
