1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Paul attributed his zeal, success and apostolic endowments not to his hard work. He was keen to note that it was solely by God’s grace and mercy. It was the grace of God that caused him to labour harder that all other apostles.
We are what we are by the grace of God. Nothing is more common in Paul’s writings than the disposition to trace all that he had to the mere mercy and the grace of God. Those that receive most grace and favour from God should be holily ambitious to do the most services .
Christian friends, God gives us the restraining grace to help us forbear what is evil. He gives us the sanctifying grace to help us follow what is spiritually good. He will also give us the coping grace to help us go through all challenging situations that will come our way.
