1Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
The resurrection of Jesus was and still is the foundation of our hope. It was a surety that all who are united to Him had a guaranteed future.
The hope that they had , had living power.
It was not cold, inoperative or dead. It was not a mere form….or speculation… or a mere sentiment. It was that which was vital to their welfare, and which was active and powerful. ( Albert Barnes’ NT commentary)
Hope sustains us in the midst of trials and enables us to bear them without a murmur. Hope inspires in us a picture of a bright future. We have hope of a better tomorrow. The most tragic thing that can ever happen to a believer is to lose hope! Let our hope remain alive!
