Jos 3:15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
Stepping out of the “comfort” to the promised land isn’t easy . It comes with risks and sheer faith. Flooded Jordan was the only hindrance between the Israelites camping at shittim and the promised land – Canaan. God didn’t command it to dry naturally to pave way but demanded the priests to step out, approach it and put their feet into it .(Jos 3:13)
Crossing life’s Jordan requires a special bridge called stepping out. It may be flooded right at the time of crossing to derail you from the course and ensure you stay at shittim’s comfort .A step of faith is an active ingredient to all life’s problems.
Get out of shittim and step out.
