Ge 37:23 ¶ And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;
24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.
Joseph was stripped off his distinctive garment. This was an act birthed out of sibling rivalry. They thought they had degraded him and ripped off favor. Perhaps you feel that there is a garment of favor in your business, family, working place or any aspect of your life that has been stripped off. Dare not be dismayed for it is just but for a while and God will bring restoration.
The brothers cast him into a pit. They may have rejoiced thinking that his dreams were now down the drain. The good thing is that the pit was void of water thus a sign that even in distress, God’s protection reigned.
His dreams were big enough not to be contained by the pit. The pit had to eject him for his destiny landing.
Don’t write off your dreams because of a temporal condition. Keep the dream alive for it cannot die.
The stripping and pit casting is just a platform for your great launching. In the fullness of time your dream will blossom for all to see. It will be evident that it was God ordained thus no man can thwart it.
