Est 4:14 “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
This was a strongly worded statement from Mordecai to Esther. He was direct and to the point. Appearing unbidden before the king could mean her death. But remaining silent, when all the Jews knew of her connection to the king was even a greater evil. After all, if the genocide would take place, eventually it would also claim her life.
Mordecai’s famous suggestion that Esther “had come to the kingdom for such a time as this” meant that God had a destiny for Esther. Yahweh had orchestrated her appointment to the office of the Queen in order to bring relief and deliverance for the Jews.
Each and everyone of us has been strategically planted by the master to accomplish specific purposes in our season. Esther fulfilled the purposes of God for her season. David served his own generation by the will of God. ( Act 13:36)
We have been equipped with what we need for this season. Bad circumstances cannot stop us from fulfilling God’s will. We are here for such a time as this!
