2nd Co 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God
Paul wrote about his hardships ,pressures and despair and saw two fold purpose behind them. One,they learned to depend on God and not on themselves. Two,they learned how to pray for believers who were experiencing pain and hardship.
When we experience pain, God comforts us many times and in many ways . The ministry of comfort is learned from troubles . God gives us the grace to go through those many challenges so that we can be prepared and encouraged to comfort others when their days of pain knocks.
There is strength ,peace and comfort derived from prayers from brethren. Prayers lifts the spirit ,strengthens the will and sets the heart on fire to fully trust God for comfort.
Every time we endure pain and we are comforted, its like a debt which we need to pay to others when their time comes.
