Gen 37:28 Then Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt.
When Joseph was sent by his father to check on his brothers in the wilderness, they saw an opportune moment to terminate his life. God would not allow Joseph to die thus the plan to sell him off for twenty shekels of silver as a slave seemed right as they would rid themselves of shedding innocent blood.
The brothers did not have the slightest idea that God was using them to relocate Joseph to his place of destiny. The slave masters gave Joseph a free ride to the Place where God had predestined him to reign. They were the means of transport that God used to get Joseph to Egypt.
It is amazing how God works. What seems to be an end to Joseph in the eyes of his brothers turns out to be his beginning. Sometimes it feels that our enemies are having an upper hand over us but the story is not yet over. The brothers thought that the dreamer’s story was over but God had a surprise in store for them.
When disaster hit Egypt, the solution to save the land was with Joseph. This earned him the position of a Prime Minister. This changed his status from a slave to a ruler. The end of the story wiped away his misery. The challenges were only staircases to his promotion to the palace. Your current challenges are processes God will use to launch you to your destiny.
