Jos 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
Towards the close of the seventh circuit, the signal was given by Joshua and the Israelites raising their war cry, the walls tumbled down. The wall fell down flat and probably killing many people, the guards that stood sentinel upon it and others who crowded around it looking at Israelites as they walked around.
The sudden fall of the wall must have caused a lot of panic to the inhabitants. They did not have any strength nor the spirit to make any resistance. They must have realized how useless it was to shut their gates against a people who had the Lord leading them.
As it was during the days of Joshua, there is no wall that is too big, too strong or too durable to resist against the people who are led by the Lord. All gates that have been shut against the people of God are going to open on their own accord. All walls will come down tumbling in Jesus name!
