2Sa 12:20 So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate.
When the child that David had begotten with Bathsheba fell I’ll, David pleaded with God for the child. David fasted and went and lay on the ground. The elders of his house went to him to raise him from the ground but he would not, neither did he eat any food.
On the seventh day the child died. Contrary to the expectations of many, David arose, washed and anointed himself, went into the house of God for worship ,went back to his house and requested that they set food before him. Life had to go on.
It’s true you might have gone through extremely rough times that might have left you grieving and you are wondering what to do next. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and move on. ” Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning ” ( Psa 30:5b) Your sorrow won’t last forever because God is healing our wounds.
