Psa 113:5 Who is like the LORD our God, the one who sits enthroned on high,
Psa 113:6 Who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
Psa 113:7 He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
The Psalmist depicts our God as highly exalted over all the nations. He is enthroned on high above signifying his superiority and sovereignty. His glory is above the heavens, above the angels and above everything that he created. He governs all and therefore he is praised and adored.
Although those who are highly exalted are generally unapproachable, our God is different. He lowers himself from above to locate and attend to the needs of his people. He is able to locate and identify even the ” weakest of the weak, the poorest of the poor – the most down trodden of the earth” and allocate them royal status.
Our God lowers himself from above the cosmos to consider our needs and wants. He stoops down to our level purposely to lift us up. When he comes knocking, there is a total paradigm shift; the poor become the blessed, the needy attain royal status and the unfruitful becomes fruitful. Grace will come looking for you!
