Act 9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
Tabitha ( Dorcus) was an active follower of Jesus. This woman was full of charitable deeds which she did. In the course of time, Tabitha got sick and died. It happened that Peter was in Lydda. When the Joppa Christians heard that Peter was about ten miles away from their city, they sent for him to come and raise her up.
When Peter arrived, the widows in Joppa showed him the clothes that Tabitha had made for them. Indeed they were grateful for the help they had received from her. So Peter raised up Tabitha and as a result , many people believed.
Those small acts of kindness done to others are of great value to the recipients. What we disregard as unimportant, trivial or irrelevant acts of kindness are taken with immense gratitude with some recipients making many prayers for your success. There are some people who are praying for you that God may raise you up.
