1Co 15:9,10 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me is not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Paul was born near the beginning of the first century at Tarsus. He was sent to Jerusalem for his studies under the famous Gamaliel. His active opposition to Christianity marked him as the natural leader of the persecution after the death of Stephen. He was convinced that Christians were heretics and that the honor of the Lord demanded their extermination.
The spread of Christianity to foreign cities increased his fury against them and made him expand his persecution scope. Its while in his mission to persecute them in Damascus that he met with the Lord Jesus. He confessed that now he was a product of grace.
Grace accepts us where we are rejected. It qualifies us when everybody thinks we are unqualified. Grace covers all forms of disgrace. It is the free sovereign favor to the I’ll deserving. Grace is unconditional love towards a person who does not deserve it. Grace is getting what you don’t deserve and not getting what you deserve.
