2Ki 6:26,27 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my Lord the king!” The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?”
There was a great famine in the city and as Jehoram King of Samaria passed by on the wall, he was stopped by a woman who requested for his assistance. She had made a bargain with her neighbor that they would boil and eat her son and then after they had consumed him, they would then do the same thing with her son. But as the day drew near for the neighbor to bring her son to the cooking pot, the child had been hidden.
Its at this point that the king expressed his inability to avenge the helpless woman and termed the case as a referral to a higher office . “ If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you?.
upon this referral ,there was help the following day !
Some cases in life cannot be handled by mortal beings and only calls for divine intervention .
Some wounds are so deep that only God can dress them,
Some pain so intense that only he can relieve,
Some brokenness so apart that only he can mend,
Some tears so much that only he can wipe ,
Some cry so loud that only he can calm,
Some burdens so heavy only he can bear ,
Some journey too long only he can walk.
Upon this awakening ,help is readily available.
