Matthew 2:[2]and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
The Wise Men from The East came to Jerusalem inquiring about the birth of the New Born King that they may worship Him. This triggered insecurity within the heart of King Herod who felt his star threatened. Ironically what was meant to be good tidings turned to be distressful.
In the time of Herod, Jerusalem was thrown into a disarray. Innocent children were killed robbing families joy of newborns. Christ is still The Star despite what our enemy plots. We have to frustrate his plans this season. We must watch and pray against evil schemes.
Let us be watchful during this festival season less our joy turn to sorrows. How we celebrate will greatly determine the outcome of the season. If we shun ill motives and put under our control the wantons of the flesh, then our celebrations will yield great fulfillment. We should not at any cost thwart the intention of The King of Kings to bring the joy of salvation.
As The Bright and Morning Star rises and shines in our hearts, lives, families, cities and every aspect of our lives, let’s also hide the young stars (our Children and their dreams) by effectual fervent prayers which will avail much results. Christ must be glorified in whatever we do. Let the devil and his works be put under our feet in Jesus Name.
