Pro 20:4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich
Pro 18:9 The sluggard does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing
Procrastination can be defined as a regular habit of postponing doing something. It is putting off something intentionally either by delaying or avoiding to do it. Most often than not, people give excuses but not reasons for failing to do something whose time was due.
A sluggard will not plow just because it is cold. Autumn , which is the time of ploughing is the season after summer and before winter. The cold winter weather begins to crawl in and the sluggard gives an excuse for not ploughing. As a result , he will not sow and hence not harvest
Putting off to a later date what can be done today can have a negative impact on other people as well. Sometimes we suffer great heartaches because of procrastinating. Some things we put off are so crucial because they can change the direction of our lives forever. Always endeavor to do first things first; put a stop to procrastination!
