Phi 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Whether we would like to admit it or not, the well known – phrase, ” every man for himself ” is often how we choose to live. It’s a natural survival instinct to want to preserve ourselves, our resources, and our loved ones when we face fear and scarcity. ( https://www.in courage.me)
Can you imagine how a day in your life would be without the input of other people? Regardless of how you view yourself, all of us are equal before God. Never assume that your time , thoughts, money and opinions are more valuable than those of others. Don’t be obsessed with making sure that everything works for you. Rom 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Failure to consider others better than yourself is a great pointer to the spirit of selfishness. It also affirms to the fact that others exist to serve you and not vise Versa. Our neighbors are worthy of higher consideration and a higher place of honor than ourselves. No believer should think only of his own affairs, but should learn to see things from other people’s point of view.
