Mat 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough trouble of it’s own.
Many people are so much preoccupied by what will happen in the future to the extent that they forget to live today. We continue preparing for tomorrow even in our old age. Jesus teaches us that we must learn to live one day at a time. We must not worry about tomorrow because it hasn’t come yet.
It’s true we must think about tomorrow. We must plan for tomorrow. We must plant today so that we can harvest tomorrow. But we must not allow tomorrow to deny us the opportunity to live today. We should not borrow tomorrow’s problems and add them to today’s problems.
It is painful and unprofitable to perplex ourselves with distrustful and distracting fears of what the future holds. We must not torment ourselves today with fear of what may happen to us tomorrow. Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. The future starts now. God will order the affairs of tomorrow.
