Phi 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ,think about such things.
Paul admonished the Philippians to cultivate and practice a package of excellent, admirable and praise worth virtues .By so doing ,they would attain behavioral maturity in truth, love, purity , nobility and correctness of character that is worth of reputation and devoid of questionability. He encouraged them to think of such on daily basis building their pattern of life.
Habits are routines performed regularly ,they are compound interest of self-improvement or self deterioration. The same way that money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them. They seem to make little difference on any given day and yet the impact they deliver over the months and years can be enormous. It is only when looking back two, five, or perhaps ten years later that the value of good habits and the cost of bad ones becomes strikingly apparent. Habits are like the atoms of our lives. Brethren ,godly and spiritual habits compound with time .It calls for dedicated and purposed routine discipline with the enablement by the Holy Spirit. Over time, the hard thought godly behavior grows within us suppressing the carnal mind bringing an overflow of good reputation.
