Gen 39:3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
Joseph had been sold by his brethren to Ishmaelites who took him to Egypt. He was taken to Potiphar who bought him. Joseph had slavery status thus his master would have exploited and oppressed him. After all the master owned him.
Joseph was not just an ordinary believer. It was evident that God was with him. He did not need to proof his relationship with God because he was an open book that could be read. Joseph was a carrier of the move of God that brought all the difference. His master perceived that he was not just an ordinary slave in his house but a distinct man.
Joseph was a conduit of God’s power. His personal relationship with God had trickle down effects at his working place. The Lord made all that he did flourish. This brought a distinction upon Joseph which saw him rise to levels of service. May we emulate Joseph that wherever we go, we carry God with us. It will be evident that we are of a different breed.
