Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Some people wonder whether our time here on earth has any meaning at all. The secular phrase, ” life is not a dress rehearsal “, has quite a bit of truth in it. Looking at the phrase in the light of today’s scripture, it brings it into perfect clarity. We must not worry about tomorrow because it hasn’t come yet.
Jesus taught that we must live one day at a time. Unfortunately, unknowingly, many people spend all their life preparing for the future . It’s true that we must think about tomorrow ; we must plan well for tomorrow. We must plant today if we will harvest tomorrow but tomorrow must not deny us the opportunity to live today .
We must purpose to live today and not be too anxious about tomorrow. We must do whatever we are supposed to do today in order to improve the quality of life . We must stop worrying and start living. Learn to love and appreciate yourself, celebrate your small achievements, get yourself a standing ovation for doing it well today.
