Gen 29:25 So it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?”
Have you ever worked on something; a business deal, a project, a proposal, a relationship leading to marriage, a loan application and then at the tail end everything backfires? This is what is called ” an almost there syndrome”. We must pray for wisdom and the leadership of the Holy Spirit to avert such.
It’s in public domain that Jacob loved Rachel and not Leah. He had worked for seven years to get her but the tables turned during the last twelve hours . On the material night when he was supposed to start a new chapter in his life, there was a clandestine exchange at night which brought Jacob back to the drawing board. He had to work for another seven years to fulfill his dream!
And that’s why it is important to commit our work and our plans to God. In order to avoid the last minute frustrations, disappointments and failure, we must invest our time and resources not only in doing the due diligence but also train our knees to hit the ground. But in case it has already happened, don’t you worry, we serve a God of a second and more chances.

🙏 Blessed Weekend 🙏
Very enlightening and an eye opener not to take things for granted when am almost there, but to remain in prayer.
Don’t trust your ability. Pray
