Heb 12:14 Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
Heb 12:15 looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
Resentment is a feeling of indignant displeasure or persistent ill will at something regarded as wrong, insult, or injury. It refers to a feeling of bitterness and indignation. Resentment can be directed at an action, a statement, or a person – often an authority figure such as a parent, boss, spouse , teacher etc
It is legitimate to recognise unfair treatment but it is not helpful to allow it drive you into bitterness. When bitterness is allowed to thrive, it robs us Peace and ushers in the spirit of unforgiveness and revenge. When you allow the hurt to germinate in your heart, bitterness and resentment will take root.
” Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”Life , which include deep resentment leads only to futility and unhappiness. We must make peace with all men and purpose to pursue holiness. We must not allow the root of bitterness to grow and cause us more trouble. The best remedy for bitterness and resentment is intentionally not piling up a record of wrongs , love, forgiveness and the willingness to “let go” all those feelings through prayer.

🙏 Blessed Day 🙏
Very inspiring and helpful. May God bless you. Resentment seems a natural phenomenon and a shortcoming as we interact with others, but as Christians who should glow to reflect the glory of God, we must learn to control the vice. Thank you.
