Exo 34:29-30
Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Mosesโ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. 30 So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.
When Moses came down from Mt. Sinai the second time , his face reflected the radiance of God. Moses was not aware that his skin was radiating God’s glory. When Aaron and the children of Israel saw Moses, they were afraid to come near him.
We look like what we look at. If we are out looking at the politicians , celebrities and news makers for long,we will look like them . The Bible admonishes us not to love the world but instead to intently look at and meditate on the word of God day and night. If we do so, we will take on the countenance of God. It is by His word we live , move and have our being . Let our hope be built on nothing less but Jesus Christ and his righteousness.
When we continue looking at the world for long, we will look like the world, talk like the world, reason like the world and dress like the world. Let’s continually look at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
