Luk 22:47 And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him.
Luk 22:48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
A kiss was a typical greetings of a student to his rabbi ( teacher). A kiss on the cheek was also a common greeting between friends and family
It’s so sad that Judas used his intimacy with Jesus and his disciples as a platform of betraying . Knowing exactly where Jesus would be spending the night, Judas led a group of Jesus’ enemies to arrest him. Jesus was betrayed not by any of his enemies ,but a confidant. This led to his arrest, death, resurrection and ascension.
Without a Judas’ kiss, destiny will be elusive .God uses difficulties to position us to our destiny . Most devastating attacks are not staged by our perceived enemies but the very people who are supposed to protect us. But instead of bringing us down, they usher us to our destiny. For Judas, this was a kiss of death , but to God , it brought salvation unto mankind.
