Act 10:35 “But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.
A Gentile, Cornelius who was a centurion in the Roman army had called Peter to come to his house. Peter took with him some Jewish brothers from Joppa. He very well knew that other Jewish believers would criticize him for visiting a Gentile’s house. He wanted these brothers to be his witness that he was acting according to God’s will.
In his opening remarks to his sermon, Peter stated one of the most profound truths in the Bible: ” God does not show partiality. God accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right. God equally accepts men of different colours, castes, social status, race , tribes and different positions. When we believe in Christ, we become equal members of one family; the family of God.
There will always be some people that are foreign to you; people who are of different color , speak different language , follow different customs or eat different food . Christ has become their saviour too through his death and resurrection . In his kingdom, there are no second class citizens. God shows no partiality and whoever fears and works righteousness is accepted by him.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:29 And if you are Christโs, then you are Abrahamโs seed, and heirs according to the promise. u
