2 Tim 1:12 That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.(NLT)
Paul is in prison, but that did not deter his ministry. He carried it on through others like Timothy. He had lost all his material possessions, but he would never loose his faith. He trusted God to use him regardless of his circumstances. Despite being in prison, Paul wrote to the young Timothy and encouraged him to be steadfast in his faith, even in the face of opposition and persecution.
The above statement is a powerful expression of Paul’s confidence in God. He is saying that he knows who God is, and he is convinced that God is able to keep his promise until the day of his return. This confidence comes from Paul’s personal relationship with God and his experience of God’s faithfulness in his own life.

We can also draw encouragement and inspiration from Paul’s example. Like Paul, we too can have confidence in God, knowing that he is faithful and able to keep His promises. We can trust Him with our lives, our hopes, and our future, knowing that He is with us always, and will never leave us or forsake us. If our situations looks bleak, we can carry everything to Christ in prayer..
