Num14:1-2, 4 That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud. All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness! And they said to each other, “We should choose a leader and go back to Egypt.”
Initially ,Israelites were complaining of bondage .After miraculous deliverance from Egypt, men were sent to explore Canaan and the report they brought wasn’t as good as they expected .This provoked them to wail and grumble against Moses and Aaron and influenced each other .
Much of what we complain about was once a prayer item that gave us sleepless nights pleading with God to answer. We get discontented about everything and infect our circles with the same spirit . We complain about our jobs, our homes, our TV’s, our phones, our families, our churches, our friends – and the list is endless . For some people, it is hard to find anything that they are contented with.
Bitterness and complaining is contagious. Not only does it blind us to all the ways God has graced us with, but it also spreads to others . Dear brethren ,look back and see what the Lord has done .Purpose, confess and divorce yourself from this spirit as well as its progeny and allies . This will attract the power to forge ahead and possess a more better and valuable inheritance.
