Gen 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
Genesis 28:12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
Jacob was from his errands as he engaged on a journey. When night came, he lodged at the City of Luz. The interesting thing is that he picked a stone and put it at his head and lay down to sleep. The stone would be symbolic of “The Rock”. As he slept he had an encounter as the heavens opened, he experienced an angelic visitation and the lord appeared to him.
As we engage in the journeys of life, it is paramount that we rest our head on The Rock. It is at this posture that we will have a communion with The Lord where the Heavens will open for us and give us our breakthroughs.
Even as you venture into different expeditions, there is a clarion call to commune with the master. It will bring a rejuvenation as we experience the refreshing moments from an Open heaven .
