Act 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.
Act 4:14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
Peter and John were going into the temple for prayers. At the gate, they healed a man who was disabled from birth. Peter was quick to attribute the miracle to Jesus. And for this, they were arrested and spent the night in Jail. The next day, they were brought before the Sanhedrin.
On one side, we had Peter and John and on the other side the most educated ,qualified scribes, teachers and priests who included the high priest who was the highest religious authority. _ The Sanhedrin was quick to note that although Peter and John were common people, what they were accused to have done was very uncommon . Although they were unschooled and common, they recognized they had been with Jesus.
God did not create you to be common. He didn’t breath his life into you so that you can do what everyone else does. You were created to be uncommon, to live by his standards, to do what others aren’t willing to do, to believe for things that others believe are too big. He created you to stand out in the crowd, to a cut above. ( Joel Osteen)
