Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
But is a coordinating conjunction used to connect ideas that contrast. After explanation of how something took place ,it comes in and nullifies its effect .The Bible is full of “but God ” moments. The eleven famous Jacob’s sons colluded on how to get rid of the twelfth, the dreamer and favorite daddy’s boy .They sold him to Egypt and lied to their father that a devourer was responsible. Upon reunion in Canaan ,Joseph introduces the “but God “. Their intentions were ill, but God meant it for good to save many.
The world today is never devoid of situations planned by people or default by nature that works against us .But when God comes in the equation ,he nullifies their effect in favour of the one who played victim.
Its true:
You are sick but God will heal.
You are lonely but God will never leave nor forsake .
You are a sinner, but God loves and died for your sins.
Mention all that is there to derail, devalue , devastate ,demean or devour you. But not their circumstances will get the last word. God will ever work against the purposed scheme and will be a reason as to why the intent didn’t happen
