Jam 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
Jam 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
Jam 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
A Gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials ( Seneca). Like the raw stones, we need little friction to become our best. Don’t look at trials before you as obstacles but instead consider them as training ground and improve ( Linkedin).
James says that we should consider trials and persecutions a joy because they produce in us perseverance. God allows trials in order to test and strengthen our faith. As a man perseveres in trials he becomes stronger . We should accept trials because they come upon us for our own good and in accordance to God’s will. A gem cannot be polished without friction!
In this life, no matter your status in the society, you may have to go through seasons of hardships, uncertainty and some times intense pain. Regardless of how many handles you have to cross, you should hold your peace because eventually, you will succeed. As you get polished , you don’t become bitter but better by and by. A man cannot be perfected without trials.
