SELF ENCOURAGEMENT.

1Sa 30:6 Then David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

To encourage yourself in the Lord means to find your strength, hope and daily encouragement through your relationship with God especially during difficult and challenging times ( Abby Flynn ). You should not speak negatively regardless of the challenges you are going through. You must purpose to speak positively to your self and others at all times.

David became a scapegoat of all the evil that had taken place at Ziklag. Ziklag had been destroyed by fire and their wives, sons and daughters taken captive. David’s two wives had also been captured . David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him. But David encouraged himself in the Lord.

Every day is a new start in our walk with Jesus! Hold your head high, look to him for help and verbalize all that He has done and what He is going to do for you.

Let the weak say , ” I am Strong “*
Let the poor say , ” I am rich”
Let the blind say, ” I can see”
It’s what the Lord has done for me.
