The power of positivity celebrates the lifestyle of positive thinking and attitude. Positive thinking is important because it can have a beneficial impact on both physical and mental well being. People who maintain a more positive outlook on life cope better with stress, have better immunity and have lower risk of premature death .( Kendra Cherry MSEd -Power of positive Thinking)
As Paul writes to the Corinthians ,the power of being positive is very evident. He is in prison ,but says “Rejoice in the Lord always…… It seems strange that a man in prison would be telling a church to rejoice. Paul’s attitude teaches us an important lesson – inner attitude do not have to reflect our outward circumstances.
He was full of joy because he knew that no matter what happened to him, Jesus Christ was with him. He urges the Philippians severally to be joyous probably because they needed to hear this. Life offers so many circumstances that discourages us. Like the Philippians, we can get encouragement from Paul and purpose to rejoice no matter what.
