Matt.28.19 – 20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 – Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
A person’s last words in his/her deathbed are of paramount importance. Family gather around to hear what the wishes of the person leaving would be. In the above context, we find some of Jesus’ last words to his disciples. In His address, he mandated them to make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit and teach them to observe all the things he had commanded them.
As his disciples, we also have been commissioned to go and make disciples for our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Our Jerusalem and the uttermost part of the world is our area of operation. Brethren this is not an option, it is a command that the Lord Jesus gave and has to be obeyed.
This was not a suggestion ; it was an aggressive and no failure activity. There could be many reasons why believers are not fully committed to share the good news. But regardless of whatever those reasons are, we must take practical steps on every day basis to help accomplish this mandate. It’s is such an honor to be partakers of this noble task of perpetuating the kingdom of God. Put this to mind, we are commissioned for a mission.
