Ro 4:24 but also for us,to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
Ro 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Justification is a judicial term. To justify is to declare a person as right before God and freed. The opposite of justification is condemnation. This occurs when God pronounces a believer to be acquitted from the penalty of his sin which is death and fully restored in divine favour and walk in freedom . Justification is not a change in moral character but a change in legal status. To be justified does not make you a new person, but standing before God on a new basis.
Jesus, our advocate took our place and died to pay the penalty of our sin. He was the atoning sacrifice for the sin of mankind . However, if he was not raised to life, we would not have known whether the justice process was complete. On the third day, he was raised back to life by the power of the Holy Spirit to prove our justification.
He therefore stands before God who is the just judge to make a plea for us – that the debt has been fully paid. We are absolutely free! We have peace with God.”Therefore there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”. This justification has brought life for all men. Justified life is the life indeed that Jesus came to give.
