David knew for sure that one day he was going to die. However, his current afflictions would not lead to death and more so, in the hands of his enemies. He believed he should live the number of days ordained for him in order to declare the works of the Lord. He was aware that he had not accomplished his God given assignments here on earth. He therefore declared that he was not going to die but live and proclaim the doings of the Lord.
We have to keep on affirming ourselves by use of the scriptures so that we don’t get overwhelmed with what we go through on a daily basis. We have to face and prophesy to all our circumstances. Every time you receive a scaring report, always remember, there is a corresponding scripture to affirm you and help you firmly anchor your faith in God. Biblical affirmation will usher in the desired change both in the spiritual and physical environment.
