Rom 5:6-8 For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The human nature tends to respond to an action of equal nature. For an action, there is an equal and opposite reaction (Newtons 3rd law of motion). We always love with a positive reason attached. We love because we are either related to others in some way, they treat us well, we benefit from a relationship or gain something either material or immaterial from each other. This is the human nature we were born with and into.
God’s divine nature is clearly seen when He goes beyond loving a people of unequal nature. This love is further demonstrated when He sends his Son Jesus Christ to be born in the world, taking on the very nature of sinful man. He later had to die and resurrect to save and justify us.
There is no greater love than this, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. This love goes beyond conditions and status .By believing and accepting this love,we become the sons of God,born of God,hence having his divine nature of love.
