Rom12:16 Be harmonious in your thoughts toward one another. Do not think highly of yourself, but associate with men in low positions. Do not think you are a wise one.
Paul was an advocate of interpersonal relations both in the society and church. To the Romans, he advocates for harmonious accommodative living within all statuses of life
Pride, conceit, and exalting oneself over others disturb the harmony and unity of believers. It tramples the lowly and annihilates their existence. It leaves no space or air for others ,for it thrives on self alone.
In today’s world , disharmony has been the order in almost all organizations, families, church, work place etc .This has been fanned by haughtiness and failure to accommodate others in opinion or in societal status . Pride and disunity because of caste, or resulting from pride of positions in society are abominable to God .In Christ those in low positions and in high places are all one and should act like one.
