Jam 5:11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord–that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
Everyone goes through different seasons in their lives.. There some seasons of our lives when we have it easy while others are extremely difficult. But as Solomon eludes , there is a time and a season for every activity under the sun.
As we open the first chapters of the book of Job, the season was a dark one. When his three friends visited him, they could not recognize him. They lifted up their voices and wept and each one tore his robes and sprinkled ashes on his head towards heaven. They sat with him for seven days and seven nights without speaking a word ( Job 2:12-13). Despite the calamity, Job persevered. And the Lord blessed the later part of Job more than his beginning ( Job 42:12).
Mharadzo Pagomo writes ;
Never judge someone based on the season. One season David was a shepherd, the next season he was a king! One season Ruth was working in the field, the next season she was owning the field! One season Mordecai was sitting outside the kings palace, the next season he was inside the palace! We serve a God who turns around things,.the God of unmerited favor! ( 24 April 2019)
Christian friends, there is no permanent season. Like Job, if you persevere, you will be among those who endure and are counted blessed. Continue believing and continue waiting with an expectant heart. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory(2Co 4:17).
