Isaiah 49:2 – “He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.”
There are seasons in life when it feels like you’re overlooked, forgotten, or even rejected. You pray, but answers seem delayed. You serve, but no one notices. You prepare, but opportunities don’t come. It’s easy to think something is wrong. But sometimes, this is exactly where God wants you—hidden. Not forsaken, not abandoned, but hidden for a purpose.
When God decides to hide you, it’s not punishment—it’s preparation. Just like a polished arrow hidden in a quiver, God is shaping, sharpening, and strengthening you for a future assignment. “God hides those He plans to use mightily.” Joseph was hidden in a prison before the palace. Moses was hidden in the desert before leading a nation. Even Jesus lived 30 years in obscurity before a 3-year ministry that changed the world.
Being hidden is a sign that you’re valuable. No one hides worthless things. God hides what He treasures. He’s building your character before revealing your calling. “Delay is not denial; it’s divine development.” So don’t rush the process. Trust His timing. Your hiding season is your making season. And when the time is right, He will bring you forth in power.
