“Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
Jer 23:29
God’s Word is never passive — it is a living force, described as both fire and a hammer. Fire spreads uncontrollably, consuming everything in its path, just as the Word of God ignites hearts, purifies lives, and brings light where there is darkness. The hammer, on the other hand, represents its power to shatter every resistance, break hardened hearts, and destroy spiritual strongholds. No obstacle can withstand the impact of God’s spoken Word.
The Word is unstoppable — it moves through barriers, cultures, generations, and seasons. It is uncontainable — it cannot be silenced, restrained, or limited. When God speaks, change is inevitable. Whether through a whisper or a storm, His Word accomplishes its purpose. As believers, we are not powerless; we carry the most powerful tool — the Word of the living God.
So when life feels impossible and resistance seems unbreakable, don’t retreat — release the Word. Declare it in faith, stand on it with confidence, and watch it work. It is still like fire. It is still like a hammer. It still changes everything.
