Joh 6:67–68 “‘You do not want to leave too, do you?’ Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’”
When the teachings of Jesus became difficult to accept, many turned back and walked away. Not because they didn’t hear the truth, but because the truth disrupted their comfort. Still, Peter chose to stay—not because it was easy, but because he recognized where life was found.
Peter’s response teaches us this: it’s not about what’s convenient—it’s about who holds the words of life. When others drift, faith stands. When others question, faith clings. When others walk away, faith remains at His feet.
Staying with Jesus is not passive—it’s a declaration: “We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God” (v.69).It’s not loyalty to comfort, but loyalty to Christ. When you stay, you grow deeper. When you stay, you hear more. When you stay, you see the glory those who walked away will miss.
