Ecc 3:6 βA time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.β
Life in Godβs wisdom is marked by seasons, and not every season calls for holding on. Sometimes, clinging to what once was becomes the very thing that hinders us from stepping into what God has prepared. Letting go can mean surrendering past hurts, failed plans, or even our own will, so that Godβs perfect will may unfold. Faith is not always about grasping but often about releasing.
Letting go also teaches us trust. Abraham had to let go of his homeland to walk into Godβs promise (Gen. 12:1). The disciples had to let go of their nets to follow Jesus (Matt. 4:20). When we release what is in our hands, God is free to place something better there. Holding too tightly can breed fear, but surrender opens the door to peace and progress in Christ.
Beloved, at times letting go is not weakness but wisdom. It is not abandonment but alignmentβchoosing Godβs way over our own. Release the weight that keeps you bound, and embrace the new season God has ordained. The same Lord who asks you to let go is the One who will never let you fall.
