Isa. 62:2
ββ¦and you shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name.β
Life often places us in seasons where others label us, but Christ names us. People called David a shepherd boy, yet Christ named him king. Gideon was seen as a coward, but heaven called him a mighty man of valor. Bartimaeus was βthe blind man,β but Jesus declared, βYour faith has made you whole.β The enemy labels to limit and trap, but Christ names to release destiny and identity. What others say reflects your past; what Christ says reveals your future.
Labels come from observation, but names come from revelation. Enemies speak from what they see; Christ speaks from what He placed in you. Goliath called David βa boy,β but heaven called him βgiant-slayer.β The Pharisees called Peter βuneducated,β but Jesus named him βrock.β Mary Magdalene was called βdemon-possessed,β yet Christ called her a βwitness of resurrection.β The enemy speaks history; Christ speaks prophecy.
The miracle is that God often renames you right before those who mislabel you. He renamed Jacob while Esau still saw him as βthe deceiver.β He renamed Simon while the crowd still called him unstable. When Christ names you, every label loses power and every insult becomes irrelevant. The enemy tries to reduce you; Christ reveals you. Reject human labels and embrace the names spoken by Christ, for heavenβs declaration is unshakable.
