2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
When Elisha’s servant saw the host of chariots surrounding them, he knew they were done. But God had the heavenly chariots surrounding his servant. Elisha was being pursued for his supernatural military intelligence which made the Syrians secrets leak.
Elisha prayed that the young man’s eyes be opened. We need our eyes to be opened that we may access the spiritual realm. We don’t walk by sight but by faith. The servant was hit by fear when he saw the enemy surrounding them. When his eyes were illuminated he saw the heavenly host thus gained confidence. He was assured that God was with them.
Elisha did not rebuke the servant but desired that he may also see. What a good mentor! Don’t desire to see only by yourself but also those who serve with you. They both operated from the same wavelength.
As you face our battles , let us desire that our eyes will be opened to unable us see the angelic host guarding us and your teams.
