Psa 118:17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.
Psa 118:18 The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.
We live at a time of great uncertainties. Our print and electronic media keeps on updating us with statistics of death all over. Instead of giving us hope, they paint a grim scenario indicating that all is not well.
King David also found himself in almost similar circumstances. Sometimes the challenges were so overwhelming and life threatening. But one thing he knew was that he was not going to ” see death” before the days that were ordained for him were over.
Despite what was happening in him and around him, he made the above passionate declaration; I will not die,but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
Christian friends, despite whatever is happening, we know that our God is in control of things. We are persuaded, and this we know too well, that He will not allow any premature death. We shall live all the days ordained for us in this earth. Our lives will be for God’s glory.
