Dan 3:29 “Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”
Dan 3:30 The king promoted Shadrach , Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
The decree was uttered by Nebuchadnezzar after he called the three Hebrew boys to come out from the burning furnace. They had defied him after he directed everybody to bow down and worship the golden image he had erected.
The fire was so hot that it had killed the soldiers who had put these three men firmly tied into the blazing furnace. To his amazement, Nebuchadnezzar saw four men walking in the fire unbound and unharmed. He gave another decree that anybody who said anything amiss against God should be cut into pieces and their houses turned into piles of rubles.
When you stand for God , you stand out. King Nebuchadnezzar gave a public acknowledgement of the power and supremacy of our God. The three men got a promotion in the province of Babylon. Their testimony is a witness that it’s possible to live for God in unfavorable circumstances.
