Psa 139:5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.
When God challenged Satan whether he had considered his servant Job, Satan told God that Job did not fear him for nothing. He complained that God had put a hedge of protection not only around him but around his household and all that he had.( Job 1:10)
The Psalmist also makes similar sentiments; that God has put a hedge behind him and in front of him. In other words, he is enjoying God’s total protection. That’s not all , the hand of the Lord is upon him denoting Yahweh’s sovereign control and guidance of his life.
God will always go a head to fight the battles which we fear losing. He calms the waves which can easily destabilize us and softens the blows which can easily take us down. We are protected from all sides.
